Brainflush is a minimalist brain dump tool that runs entirely in your browser. We respect your privacy: no personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted to our servers — because we don't have any.

2. Data Collected

Brainflush stores your data (tasks, projects, preferences) exclusively in your browser's localStorage, on your device. No data is sent to any remote server. We do not collect any personally identifiable information.

3. Google Drive Usage

Brainflush offers optional synchronization via Google Drive. If you enable this feature:

  • The application uses the drive.appdata scope, limited to an app-specific folder. Brainflush cannot read, modify, or delete your other Google Drive files.
  • Synchronized data consists of your tasks and projects, encrypted in transit via HTTPS.
  • You can revoke access at any time from your Google account security settings.
  • Synchronized data can be deleted from the app settings or by revoking access.

Brainflush's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. GitHub Gist Usage

Brainflush also offers optional synchronization via GitHub Gist. If you enable this feature:

  • A Gist is created in your GitHub account to store your data.
  • The application only accesses your Gists, not your repositories or other GitHub data.
  • You can revoke access at any time from your GitHub application settings.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Brainflush uses no cookies, no analytics tools, no tracking pixels, and no tracking technology of any kind. Your use of the application is completely anonymous.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

  • localStorage: your data remains on your device until you manually delete it or clear your browser storage.
  • Google Drive: synchronized data is deleted when you disconnect the service from the app or revoke access from your Google account.
  • GitHub Gist: the created Gist remains in your GitHub account until you manually delete it or revoke access.

7. Your Rights

Since all your data is stored locally or in your own cloud accounts, you have full control:

  • Access: view your data at any time within the application.
  • Export: export your data from the app settings.
  • Deletion: delete your local data or disconnect sync services at any time.
